Cannot Install Apps from Company Portal

If you are unable to install apps from Company Portal, follow these steps.


Symptoms

  • Install button does not work
  • App installation fails
  • Apps remain stuck on "Downloading" or "Installing"
  • You receive an error when trying to install an app


Common Causes

  • Device is not compliant or fully synced
  • Network or connectivity issues
  • The app deployment has not fully applied yet
  • Temporary issue with Company Portal


Step-by-Step Fix

Try this first

  1. Close the Company Portal app
  2. Restart your computer
  3. Open Company Portal again


Check your connection

  1. Make sure you are connected to the internet
  2. Try opening a website (for example, https://google.com)


Try to Install the App Again

  1. Open Company Portal
  2. Click Apps
  3. Select the application
  4. Click Install again
  5. Wait a few minutes for the installation to begin


Sync your device

  1. Open Company Portal
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Sync
  4. Wait for the sync to complete
  5. Try installing the app again


Check device compliance

  1. Click Devices in Company Portal
  2. Select your device
  3. Make sure it shows as Compliant or Active
  4. Resolve any listed issues before trying again

If That Doesn't Work

  • Wait 10–15 minutes and try again
  • Restart your computer and retry the install
